Ok fitted the gauge today, it was easy to go through the grommit behind the wiper motor. Just need to buy a holder now!

Just bought a Leon Cupra R and want to fit an oil pressure gauge as i know that vw were having problems and i want to keep an eye on it, any ideas of where to mount it, i'd rather not put it on the pillar?

I'd go for a -30 VAC to 30 psi gauge, also nice to know the picture I took and labeled is still coming in useful!

Ive got another pic to go with yours criag that shows the location of a ground in the other plug.

Worked out why pics SO bad, I had phone on wrong settings, have taken a better one, will put it up tonight,

Jonzy, if you tell me where the ground is, or send me your other picture I'll upload it. I just took it off the engine ground as it was easy on the 1.6 however on the Cupra i'll be taking a switched ground.

Im not sure if its switched, its the darker/thicker of the 2 brown cables in the other plug.

Has anyone got the part number for the cupra r gauge holder i fancy one of those

is that ground for the oil pressure gauge so one of the wires go to transformer one to switched live and the other to the fatter brown cable mate.
