Hi all,

On the odd occasion I'm not paying attention when feeding in the power on initial clutch take up I can get what feels like some slack in the drive train. (PD170 FR)

Would this be:

1) Dogbone bush

2) engine mounts

3) CV joints, or

4) Clutch itself?

Cheers

dogbone is most common and at 12.99 cheap and easy to replace.when replacing though check play on centre mounting point as two bushes on subframe one on top and one on bottom sandwiching end of dogbone these are a bit harder to replace as subframe needs to be dropped to get access to top bush bushes are around 12.00 a piece so cheap too the engine mountings should be fine as the dogbone takes the most punishment so tjhis will be your culprit as for clutch it would be slipping more than on setoff and if clutch would be quite a big bill as dual mass flywheel and if replacing need to do all -as in flywheel+clutch kit+hydraulic slave cylinder.miss one part out and if goes will have all to replace again so expensive but well worth doing all at same time roughly around 400 to 500 for all parts
