Glove box

I have in my MkI FR Leon a 6 disc CD changer that I have never used as I fitted my Alpine into the car as soon as I bought it! I have since changed stereo and this CD changer is still sat in my car!!!!

1. Can I take this out and put a proper glove box in there?
2. If anybody on the forum would like this CD changer they are more than welcome to it

All advice welcome.
Regards

I'm defiantly getting an insert for mine as for the past few months my glove box constantly squeaks its tits off! lol i think its the cd changer surround that rubs against the inside of the box door, or its the changer itself..

do you or anybody else you know suffer with this squeak?

Glovebox insert part number is 1M0-868-659-1UQ

I ordered it from Dave at seremotors (on here), cost was £11.90 plus postage

Just got to get the part thanks Andrew, the Seat dealers in Bristol are not great. I might even wait until working back in Exeter??

Just get it from sere motors, far easier and hassle free

To install it, can't say it better than this

Replacing the sleeve?

Stage 1 Pull of the plastic surround, remove the 2 screws, pull out the changer, disconnect it.
Stage 2 Put in sleeve, put in the 2 screws you removed in stage 1, replace the surround.
