Depends what engine was in the golf for weight reasons. I'm pretty sure joms come with adaptors to suit 50mm or 55mm strut so that shouldn't be a a worry.

The JOM website say the coilovers for a mk5gti isFront 1175kg
Rear 990 kg and the leon 2.0tdi is front 1175kg and the rear is 1010kg. 20kg would that be a big deal?

I bought a set of FK high sport coilovers for my cupra. They were for a 2008 VW passat and got them for a good price.

They fit 100% but like others say they are designed for a car of a different weight and now over rough roads my car bounces a lot as the weight of the Leon isn't the same as a passat.

I wish I had of got ones specific to my car. They will be getting changed when I can afford new ones
