Here's the update . . . Supplying dealer believed the rack was faulty. When I enquired about a courtesy vehicle I was told "just because you have a
Cupra doesn't mean your getting a car", not great ! Then proceeded to tell me that they needed to carry out diagnostics on the vehicle remove the rack and test it, this would need to be done before any offer of a vehicle, but this would be highly unlikely do to the global pandemic. Decided to travel to another specialist for a second opinion. They were pretty confident the rack was not the
problem, so booked in with them for the Monday, was given a vehicle, not a
Cupra, but still got a car (happy days). Got a call Wednesday to say it was finished and no noises. The
problem, the supplying dealer did not carry out the recall for the shock boots correctly. Only carried it out on the offside, didn't do the nearside ! ! Wonderful.
