seen cars with them fitted, and it doesnt sit in the middle of the bumper, so sits offset, and looks poo!

And also haven't seen a car with one that runs properly.

plus IMO i wanted something that showed what i'd spent my money on, and with the forge, you get it, along with great performance, and second to none customer service.

why didnt they run properly?what were they running like?

i can understand why people would go to forge or whoever for customer service but im a mechanic and i know an intercoolers an intercooler and if its good enough for a hot running diesel its certainly worth a go.
my mate has a mk3 golf 1.8t ihi jobbie running a sprinter cooler and its a consistantly quick car

wow, a mechanic.

so you'll know how to fix a design that has a big p-loss across the core?

that's why... they get a large deviation of expected to delivered boost.

Still not convinced on that one and it looks ****.
how can you say it looks ****? it looks more oem then the forge one, and the forge fmic looks far to small on the front of the ibiza looks like it belongs on a R5.
laguna intercooler looks oem and you can still have the honeycombe grill in and works just aswell maybe better then the forge intercooler

What because it had a lower temp?

Does that constitute it being better?

Have you seen proper logs like flash has promised for ages on end?

Do you know what boost hes losing across it?

Will the welds hold up with the boost?

I think all of the above are unanswered?????

Forge looks too small??

Looks far too big for the ibiza imho, its just as big as some coolers ive seen on evos and cossies

didn't the laguna one get soaked (along with the inlet manifold) in water?

it's not a sensible test to compare just inlet temps - other considerations like air flow, pressure loss should be considered.

Both intercoolers on the same car that day? No. So how can you compare.

Tesco tuning zip ties, and check out the clearance on that aircon rad. Superb! After all I wanna nuke my engine and spend even more cash on a rebuild, just to save 400 quid.

I see the extra cash as peace of mind, the research has been done, so I can fit and forget. Bit like breakdown cover, covers my ass.

Im off to buy some wingwongmong tyres, saves me 20 quid..... wickkkked

buy cheap buy twice is an often seen thing on here.

I remember being asked to fit a GRS..... needed more cutting than I wanted.

the old laguna intercooler failed but the revised version has straps to stop it happening. one of my mates is a renault techy and he said the new intercooler is far better made then the older version
