roflmao there are too many doubters on here. What i would say mate, is get a life.

One reason why im not on SCN as much now, is unless you all do the same, or all listen to somebody, somebody has the arse. And then holds it against you (like the above)

I have a life beyond SCN and enjoy it thank you.

Jonzy's mount snapped and forge repaired it foc within 2 days, Renault would laugh you out of the dealers if you tried to take it back.

Rang forge @ 6.45pm on the wednesday, was with them next morning where it was repaired modified, and painted FOC. I had it back by 9am the friday morning with a nice cheque to cover the couirer costs, no quibble. 400 quid well spent i'd say.

what alot of people need to remember is stuff like this has been coverd in DEPTH by alot of people ourselves included as we were one of the first to experiment this topic i.e. intercoolers/grs/laguna/whatever was coverd more than 2 years ago, nearly 3 years.... so there is alot of experience on these forums with tried and tested attitudes ourselves included. but equally at the same time there are opinionated people without experience

To give an example I personally have gone through 5 fmic revisions (just about to do 6th) since having the GRS at first. and 4 pipework revions Its not as simple and straight forward as people think, lots to consider i.e. core depth/width/height, core manufacture design, pipework design, end tank size/entry, CFM, pressure loss, number of bends, type of bends (mandrel/cut type etc) bore of pipework, number of connections, harshness of bends etc etc

You pay your money for the above as development aint cheap, trust me and still paying for it 3 years down the line but no one should be slated for trying as its part of development aslong as any comments are constructive and informative

OMG cant believe ive even helped people on here,

Logs, actually i cant be arsed, somebody will slate it anyway. One way or another, unless you are so far up forge you wont get good comments on here.

If you look at the top of the original thread, i have a bracket made on it, they were there simply for you to see how it hangs and to allow me to align it properly.

The reason i soaked the IC with water (all be it about 3 inches of it through the bumper hole, was because i wanted it to be like a cold start.

And with a 36oC ambient temp and a 20 min wait, you really think the water had enough effect/was still there? it was used to cool inlet down to normal temp before the run. and it was still hot.

Theres not really much more i can say, apart from the many people whom i know on here, and off here, speak to me like a normal person and dont have silly comments to make.

Im sorry i didnt spent 700 pounds, ill make sure i do what you tlel me next time

opposite to that, if you think something is a bad design, and tell someone there are better options available, people take the hump with that too

as shock_xe says, a lot of things have been tried and tested before, we dont just make up problems, some of us know from experience and knowledge of how these cars we love operate

Maybe just a special price for you, mine was 615, what you spend all your clubcard points on? Plumbing elbows for the IC?

Alright alright, lets all chill a bit... everyone tries different things, everyone has issues, and errors, and alot of people have experience...I myself do not have ANYWHERE near the money for a Forge FMIC, if money was no option then of course I would get Forge...but I am going to try the Laguna route, at the end of the day, if its crap I'll have to stick with standard till a cheap 2nd hand Forge comes up, but at least I will have tried..

I'm not saying "Thanks to yours guys info, but shove it.." so I hope it doesn't come across like that....I knwo someone on here ran a Laguna FMIC right up to the point he got a bigger turbo and needed a large FMIC... so not everyone has bad stories with these....

Each to their own as always, but guys, lets not get personal, this Tesco Tuning is a bit 'school playground' ish IMO...

I like Tesco's stuff tbh ;)

I'm not averse to trying stuff out, so don't get me wrong.

But current evidence against the design would suggest it needs some further development.

If you could buy 80Ron petrol for 50p/litre, would you put it in the car?

Yeah I understand that, course I do....and I agree there does seem to be more negative info than positive, for Laguna FMIC, but... there is a strong Laguna FMIC thread on here, lots of people going for it...again doesn't mean its good/correct/worthwhile just because alot of people go for it.

With regard to petrol comment, I wouldn't as the car is not designed to run with 80RON, I see your point, but, the Laguna FMIC I believe has the same volume size as the Forge FMIC, therefore, using your analagy (sp), all we are doing is using Sainsbury 95RON, instead of Asda's....
