Ok so i drove my car Friday afternoon and then went into work. I came back out at 6 pm to leave and the remote just didn't work. LED Lights are on but nobody is home.... You think there is a simple solution to this don't you! You'd be wrong!
So you think it's ok i'll just go in through the door....... I removed the door lock a few years ago when someone destroyed it trying to break into the car.
So you ok i'll go in through the boot..... my house got burgled about a year ago and the spare keys got taken so as a precaution to stop them coming back for the car i removed the boot lock until i could replace the locks..... which i never got round to.......!

So no locks and no remote!!:whistle::cry:

I've had the door wedged apart with an air cushion and tried to hook the handles from inside but obvs the deadlocks are on so it won't open...... :( Nothing wrong with the battery in either the remote or the car. The remote had a new one recently and to be sure i swapped it again when this happened and the car started on the button during the day and it's battery is fairly new, like in the last year. Still going now even after sitting there for four days.

And i was just thinking last week....i better put that boot lock back in now i've moved house and whoever has the keys won't know where i live anyway..... but i didn't and you've all heard of that thing called sods law haven't you!

Well and truly bitten! :D oh well live and learn even at 36 yrs old i haven't. Don't keep putting things off!!!!!

So order of the day is....

1. Order new back window from ebay
2. When back window arrives smash window and gain entry to the car
3. Replace boot lock :whistle::whistle::lol:
4. Fit new back window.....
5. Program new remote to central locking
6. Hope that it was a problem with the remote all along and that i haven't wasted money on a new remote.
7. Slap myself in the face.

Don't smash the rear window, go for the quarter panel window, if you have dead locked ur car you not getting any of the doors open, your door modual may be fecked mate always go in our cars

Quarter window £5 from scrapies side window £10. Smash the window jump in them put the key in ignition should open the door plus set the alarm off, that's what I'd do.

I thought of that but trouble is if the doors are deadlocked i need to smash a window i can climb through to get the keys in the ignition. Even if i lose some weight i can't fit through the quarter! :D

whats the door module? Operate the servo for the central locking? How much and where?

Haha yeah true. I just thought the back window might be easier to replace.... How do i know if my door module is fecked. My suspicion is it's the 2 button remote but i could be wrong. It had been playing up a few times before and stopped me locking or unlocking the doors. I had to remove the battery and put it back in to get it working again. I kind of knew this was going to happen eventually......

If you lights are still working on the remote then I don't think it's that, you will hear like a chirp noise when the module is fecked plus the lights won't flash when locking or unlocking the doors

Ah ok. My remote LED's work just nothing works. Like i said it had played upa few times before. No indicator flashes or anything. It's just dead. It's worth trying a replacement remote first thought isn't it you think?

Tape the window up before you smash it! Will save on the mess later!
