Hey,

I am on a bit of a tight budget and I was thinking of getting the Fusion PP-PK112 sub kit from Halfords. It is £229.00

Is it any good or am I wasting my money?

The specs are:

Power Rating: 900 Watts (Max)
# Woofer Size: 1 x 12"
# Voice Coil: 2.5" Black Aluminium Dual Voice Coil
# Impedance: Dual 4 Ohm
# Box Dimensions: (H) 383.9mm x (W) 421.7mm x (L) 560mm

Amplifier specifications:
# Maximum Power: 1000 Watts
# RMS Power Output: 410 Watts RMS x 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms
# 555 Watts RMS x 1 Channel @ 2 Ohms
# Frequency Response: 10Hz - 40kHz
# Low-pass Crossover: 40Hz - 160 Hz

Cheers

Personally although the Fusion Powerplant stuff is ok i would recommend a Vibe CBR 12 Evolution priced around the same money which is

1600 watts MAX
550 watts RMS

What's the RMS of the subwoofer, also if you're looking for a good deal, check this one out, might be going soon though. 700 RMS audiobahn subwoofer (350 RMS for each voice coil) (don't know what audiobahns are like, but so far haven't heard anything but good news) including the amplifier and box and wiring. for £20 cheaper :D
The amplifier seems to have more power n all

There are quite a few to go for aren't there?
it's just about looking around, halfords seem to be a bit pricey
also look for the "DIY" subwoofers where you have the hard labour of securing the sub in the box ;) that usually knocks off some money!
