They look like xenon lights. I've read the bulbs lose their brightness over time. But more so, I've noticed annoyingly the lens becomes more cloudy over time so adding a new bulb will do nothing. I was told when I had my headlight replaced cause of water damage I should go for Seat OEM bulbs (it was an Indy garage). They retail at about £120-£150 each though.

Knew i had a pic...to illustrate my point. See how the lens itself is cloudy on the old headlight:

But... clear on the new one:

Mine are just the OEM xenon's from Seat. If you post in the Listers section of the forum, they can get you a price. I can't remember what I paid at the time but it was >£100 per bulb. Also... unless your 100% confident I'd recommend having them fitted as they are really really fragile, fiddly to get in / out and really expensive bulbs!

Hi Mike

Yours do not look like OEM xenons to me (no headlight washer). The may just be projector units with halogen bulbs..

Ah - cheers mike that makes sense. I also noticed that Halfords now stock Genuine Xenon Bulbs so could be worth a look.

Sorry if I’m misunderstanding but OP, are your headlights tinted? and you have a low light output?
