I've tried pretty much every decent bulb on the market now. I got Phillips Power2Night or something now, not great, Osram Silverstars are the only ones i havent tired out of the well known one but theyre supposed to be awesome.

should i go for phillips xenon effect or osram xenon effect?

not xenon efect but the real xenon bulbs! it is really easy to do and not so expensive! the good thing is that you drive about 3-4 years without changing the bulbs :D

xenons should be banned imho, great if there on your car dangerous for other road uses as it dazzles them.

I had Phillips Power2Night on my ST220 and they were crap, had Phillips Blue Vision in my Volvo as the standard bulbs were rubbish, these were the closest thing I got to Xenon without going down the HID route, depnds how much you want to spend, as said http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ are good and you get free Phillips Blue Vision side light bulbs with every purchase of headlight bulb set. These really set the look off.

Try these sites for HID setups

These are the folks I bought my Xenon look bulbs from when I had my BMW 328M Sport and they were ace as well, see HIGH WATTAGE XENON -LOOK BULBS about a quater of the way down.

Hope this helps you decide
