test drove it yesterday it has done 28000 on an x plate,

this sounds a little dodgy because of the low mileage on an old car, it has no cd changer either, thought they came wih them standard?

1st to second is a little jerky and hard to select or it may be me,

does this sound like a turkey or just a good buy?

CD canger isn't standard - my mate didn't even have one in his Ibiza Cupra R.

My gear box gets a bit stiff from time to time too and it too is an X reg & done 55k+

What was the wear like on the steering wheel / pedels etc (tell tale signs)? ... then with my car being twice as high it's not a definate that it'll be twice as worn, and it's in pretty good nic.

Well 28,000 miles over 5 years is only 5,600 miles per year :(, So long as it all measuers up in the service intervals then it should be a good buy ;)

Good luck
