I was going to put powerflex poly bushes in my dogbone mount this weekend but I've read that a lot of the times the bolts you take out are no good to put back in. So could somebody please point keep in the right direction to where I can get a whole new bolt kit just to be on the safe side. Thanks.

No matey. I just went into VW and asked for the two bolts that held the dog bone mount in, and he found them on the system and sorted it.

There's only two into the chassis though. Two into the engine, right?

Either way, the method of asking for the remains the same.

So I went to my nearest VW dealers yesterday (Thursday) , got sent away as apparently the bolts can only be obtained at a Seat dealer, so I went away to my closest Seat dealer, the part numbers weren't recognized, because a couple have been replace with a new part or something, didn't really understand what he said. The bloke that was serving me found the part numbers needed then he sent me away saying that he needed to actually ring Seat for some reason that he didn't tell me and then he would ring me the next day, no phone call was received. Anyone know if it's possible for me to order them online from anywhere or am I gonna have to travel further to a different Seat dealer? Got a remap booked in for the 1st of March and would like to have the ploybushes in by then. Cheers.

They are the correct bolts, i cant understand the dealer saying seat only, as the mk4 golf and skoda Octavia of the same year use the same dogbone mount and subframe

Not sure, might have to just go back to the VW dealer and just ask for the mk4 ones seen as they are the same.

i think some people think a little too much honestly id just use the originals, dont over tighten them tho as they have a habit of snapping and then you will cry alot

I tried this last night and broke one of the bolts! Went down to vw in St. Andrews where I live, as much use as a chocolate tea pot! I've left the other bolt in but still I'm scared to drive the thing incase I damage the new downpipe that I put on Thursday night! What would be my best way of going about getting the broken bolt out?

How much of it is still accessible? If its enough you can put two nuts on tight to each other then use them to loosen it
