What's actually the issue with the DSG box? you can delete any data the DSG has learned by removing the battery for approx 30 mins then doing some normal driving to help it relearn.

When its cold it pulls from standstill and reverses smoothly. Once warmed up I have to let it creep and then gently apply the gas for a smooth take off. If I don't, its kinda jumpy in reverse and pulls away from stand still with a bit of a jerk. Spoke to my seat garage today and he recons that's just how they are. Trouble is why is it smooth when cold and not so when warm.

Maybe I've just read way to many 'arghh my DSG is going to explode ££££' threads. :)

Could well be time for a DSG oil change. the oil could be getting to thin which could cause this issue.

Has this issue come about since the oil change? using the wrong oil could also be the cause?
