Sports Cat will pass the MOT, I use to have one on mine but then replaced it with a de cat pipe.

I paid around £200 for it and then found out it was only 300 cpsi and most sports cats are 100 or 200 cpsi. Got mine from prospeed so asked if he could just change the cells but was told I had to buy a new sports cat with 100 cpsi for £239.

Went back home and looked at the receipt and worked out after taking away the cost of the exhaust system that I paid £220 for a 300 cpsi wasn't happy about that at all, really feel like I got ripped off.

Back on topic.... when I had the sports cat didn't feel much different in performance but since I have had a de cat the car is much better. Just gotta swap the cat ova for the MOT.

And the lamda sensor that is on the standard cat will go into the sports cat or if you have a de cat goes into that.

I gotta agree with H8SV8S I've noticed a hell of a difference but I had to learn the hard way and spend £200 on it. Got least I know I have a new cat that will pass the mot :)

is it easy to change the cat for a decat at all?

wondering as when i first got my ibiza it had no cat, had been removed and failed the emissions tests. i have very basic mechanical knowledge, and i would like to get as much bhp outta my 1.4 as possible:p
