High level brake light

Hi all

I've had my Altea XL for a week now and I must say its a bloody good car. Driving home today and I noticed the blown bulb indicator showing on the dash so checked it and it seems that my third brake light is only coming on very dim and one of the LED'S is not working.
Is this a common fault ?. how do I remove the light and repair it.

Hi all.

Well got a new LED unit from Seat cost me £75. To fit it was easy they are an interference fit in the tailgate spoiler. First wrap a flat bladed screwdriver with some insulation tape which stops you marking the paintwork and start to prise out the old unit then get your finger tips behind it and give it a good pull and it should pop out. Plug the new unit in and test it before refitting which is pushing the new unit into the spoiler.
