Just a heads up for these coils. I tried them and lost some performance on my BT setup. BAM loom. Bolt down cars had external igniters in addition to the internal in the coils. When I went back to pushdowns I immediately got the lost power back.

not complete correctly

its true the old AGU engine have bolt down coils (part # 058 905 105) and external igniter (in the airfilter). not sure if any leon have this type!?

i have a 2001 LC with engine code APP (180bhp) and i also have the bolt down coils (part # 06B 905 115 E) but it dos not have the external igniter!

there are 2 types of bolt down coils, 3wires and 4 wires... the 3wire type is for external igniter and the 4wire is not.

hitachi "E" coils with 4 wires, part # 06B 905 115 E

how could you of lost power? if anything it should have been smoother? not so much chance of the coils popping out??

I got the 4 wire Hitachi bolt down and immadiately lost power with them, restored with push downs. Investigating AGU motor diagrams which had bolt down coils also had external igniters. My BAM had no external igniter.

yes I lost power with the 4 wire bolt down. They where bolted down in place and didnt pop out. For me pushing 480bhp I noticed a big difference. Mby for a stock setup you wont notice anything.

any vw/audi/seat/skoda dealer can order the OE part #.

4 x hitachi "E" coils with 4 wires, part #: 06B 905 115 E
8 x allen key screw for bolt down coils, part #: N 101 174 03
4 x gasket for coils, part #: 058 905 261 A
1 x heat shield for wires, part #: 8L9 121 659

you have to look if you have 4wires in the coil harness, and the correct thread for the allen key screws. im not sure if all valve covers on any 1,8t can be fitted with the bolt down coils so be safe and look on yours befor you order any parts.

Look at my signature.

I have BAM ECU and loom controlling a AGU block and I got the 4 wire Hitachi bolt downs. I can only tell you what I experienced. Take it or leave it.

yes and? you got BT, i know that.

the AGU engine have 3wire BURU bolt down coils that use extarnal igniter, yes i agre with you, but you have 4wire bolt down coils, and it did not work on your car, fine, but its nothing to do with the AGU engine, thats all i say.
