I have read quite a few discussions on how much the Leon rattles and how the build quality is not as good as VW or Audi. I have come from a VW and so far they are the same, there are no more or less.

Has everyone had problems with rattles and build quality?? :(

The split rear seats can rattle...or if you have leather they squeek..apart from that nothing....rear suspension bushes can fail though....they have on mine after 62000 miles...quite a bang when you go over urban potholes...but its getting px'd shortly so I can't be assed putting it in the dealers.

Seems that's it's a bit mixed, my Passat was not very good and it was surprising considering it was a £18,500 car.

Mine seems ok at the mo, do the Seat dealers sort rattles out, i know my VW dealer use to try not with much luck though.

I've had my LCR for just over a year and have had two really annoying rattles in that time. The first was on the rear passenger but this was easily resolved with a bit of tape!

The second is on the dash and has bugged me for months. Last weekend it was pi$$ing my wife off so much that she put some folded bits of paper in between the dash and the windscreen for extra padding and would you believe it - it no longer rattles! This weekend we'll fix it properly.

Rattle in the dash, somewhere near the radio.
Squeak from the drivers seat height adjuster if it is set to its lowest position !?!
Squeak/Rattle from the back seats, fixed with electricians tape ( SCN)
Creaking from the rear suspension when it is raining/wet/snowy. It also now does this when I get in to the car.
Squealing from the front brakes when lightly braking at slow speeds.

Hmmm. Car due its first service in the next few weeks, shall I risk telling the dealer ?

Only rattle is an occasional one from the rear seats. The tweeter grill in the drivers door has just started vibrating though. Car is nearly 4 years old with 57K miles.

I get an ocasional rattle from the boot trim, but it depends on what music I am paying and how much the bass is turned up. Usually goes away after a few trips.

I also get the ocasional (twice in 6 months) rattle from the trivers door. Give it a gentle hit and it goes away!
