How to mitigate against scratching the Digital Cockpit or Infotainment screen?

Hi all, new member here.

I've just taken delivery of a Cupra Leon and you're aware there are very few physical buttons and as a result, I'm constantly touching the infotainment screen resulting in fingerprints all over it.

My previous car was a BMW M140i LC2 and you only had to wave a microfibre cloth in its general direction and the screen(s) would scratch.

What are you guys and girls doing to mitigate against this in your new Seat/Cupras? Anything special or just a case of going gently with the cloth?

What is the screen made of?

The infotainment screen in my VW is made of glass and although it does show fingermarks quite badly, it’s never scratched from cleaning it (I clean it with a soft microfibre cloth). If it’s just dusty, then I use a soft bristled detailing brush. The screen still looks like new after 9.5 months of ownership.

I’m assuming the Cupra Leon’s screen is also glass - hopefully someone with a mk4 Leon can confirm this.

What is the screen made of?

Good question. I've only sat in the car for less than an hour of owning it and most of that was figuring out what everything does.

I assumed it was plastic as it didn't immediately feel like glass but I'll check properly tomorrow unless and Mk4 owner steps forward before then.

If I was to use a microfiber I'd uss a plush one thats 500gsm should help to keep the scratches down
