dont know about the leon, but the pollen filter is accessed beneath the glove, and if the cover for it is not replaced correctly, it will jam the glove. this is how my mk4 is anyway. try putting your car key in the key hole?

have you ever opened it?

this happened on mine, the key for the ignition fits the glovebox lock. the clips snap off inside the lock and therefore does not open. i had to smash the lock off mine and get a new one. the part costs about 35 quid from the dealer and has about 4 screws holding it in if ya fancied doin it yourself. hope this helps

Yeah, the latch has some adjustment - for a while mine wouldn't open, then the dealer adjusted it and it would stay shut for a bit, then if you ran over a matchstick or accelerated hard it would pop open.

Adjusted is myself in the end and it was fine.

Had this too, i used a flat head screw driver and some brut force to open mine, i just put it in near where the clip catch's the latch(near the middle of the glove box) and pushed down on the glove box, luckly it popped open, i justed needed to adjust the lock mechanism then.

Yr OK mate... nothing to do with the pollen filter... that's up on the scuttle panel under the bonnet on the Leon.

If it's not locked, either something inside the glovebox is wedged in the lock, or the lock has had a tamtrum.

In which case it's give it a good yank (the glovebox) if no go then it's screwdriver time i'm afraid.....
