Anyone had issues with the fuel flap jamming. I did not notice until recently. It looks like the flap is tight against the rear bodywork and not central on fuel compartment. Dealer trying to say it is damage but know definitely not.
Is there an adjustment on the assembly?

I think they seem to move backwards over time. Don't know how but my wife Arona and her father's are same not central. My Ibiza is for now will keep close eye on it

Have they been to dealer to ask for a fix?
The response I had was to replace whole unit.but not convinced as it would appear from your experience that this is
a fault that develops over time.

It could be that there is a problem with the assembly moulding that allows this to happen, and so SEAT are authorising the replacement with a newer version of that part to reduce rework (labour) time and will be claiming or coming to some agreement with the supplier of the original versions that seem to have been causing problems.

Had the same issue with the fuel flap jamming. Solved under warranty by changing the actuator and the flap(which was painted in the dealership). Now the flap is slightly misaligned and has a slightly different discolouration compared to normal paint, but at least I wont be afraid of beeing stranded if it had jammed for good.

That is the worry as the dealer suggested £180 for a replacement which needed painted locally. Must be an easier solution.

Surely you still have “new car “ warranty, so SEAT needs to sort this out and give you a loan car, it is completely their design/build fault.
