Ibiza Cupra Jerking / Misfiring

I have a 09 plate 1.4 Ibiza Cupra and it’s suddenly started to randomly (not often, but every so often) misfire/jerk when i put my foot down.

It won’t happen if you rev the vehicle whilst it’s parked but if you’re footing it then sometimes almost like traction kicking in, it’ll like lose power for a second and kick back in.

I had AA come out and he advised the following:

I’m confused though, SEAT advised £108/hr for labour for a software update and advised it could take hours, whilst another specialist advised that it’s hardly going to be the software update. I’m thinking the same because wouldn’t it have been a recall? It would’ve probably been a lot more common also.

How shall i proceed? Anybody had anything similar? Any help would be appreciated. Is there any point getting another ££££ diagnostics from SEAT Dealers when AA sent out a V.A.G specialist to me anyways?

I only wanted a remap

If it's been working fine up until this point, I don't see that a software update would make a difference. I'd find a decent VAG indy garage.
