Ibiza Cupra Tdi problem

My mate has just got a Cupra Tdi, he's had it about 3 weeks.
For the last week ever now and then the car will shudder as if it is about to stall or cut out.
Any ideas what it could be?

what sort of revs is it at when it happens?

EGR Valve could need cleaning/replacing. Thats what happened to mine. I jst cleaned mine then blanked it. 4 bolts if I can remember but a massive paing to get them out!

It's on tick over and pulling away, once going the car is fine.
I will have a look at cleaning out the EGR thanks
