Ibiza storage pack-drawers or no drawers ?

We’ve just purchased an Ibiza EVO 150. We ordered a couple of options, including the storage pack. 2 reviews on Parkers and WhatCar indicated that this included drawers under both front seats. When the car was collected the only storage was a small “spectacle case” sized flap under the driver seat. We queried this with the dealer who confirmed that was it.

I contacted customer services and a helpful customer services assistant quoted verbatim from “the” brochure to confirm that drawers were fitted under both front seats. A day or so later we were contacted again to advise that a customer relations manager would contact us, he thus did so, but appeared to be a bit confused and not to know what the situation was.

I’ve been contacted again and Seat have confirmed from “the brochure”, and also with the local dealer that there are no two front drawers. It’s a bit frustrating as everyone we have spoken to (apart from the assistant) have sucked their teeth a bit as they are not sure of the spec.

If anyone has ordered the storage pack could they confirm what drawer space, or not, they received.

Funnily enough there is nothing on the website or in the accessories brochure.

I ordered the storage pack. What you describe is what I got. A small storage drawer under the driver's seat and a tray that perfectly fits the manual under the passenger seat along with the adjustable boot floor and a cargo net. Was a bit disappointed with the under seat storage drawer and tray to be honest.

Hi rustyd0g,

Thanks for your reply, this is what I have, which does not match 2 reviews from Parkers and WhatCar. I was verbally told by SEAT customer services that there were "drawers" under both seats. They then appear to have retracted this information and sent me the following description :- (this is obviously for a LHD)

Thank you for contacting us. As requested, I am pleased to confirm what the Storage Pack consists of;
  • Double boot floor and nets/fixations in luggage space
  • Drawer under co-driver seat
  • Rack under driver seat
I'm not sure but guessing that they withdrew the drawers and did a bodge job. I am more than disappointed with the pack and also with SEAT who seem not to be able to get to the bottom of what the pack should be or why it changed. Thanks for your response.

Common story of not knowing the what’s in the brochure. Which is ironic when you consider the economies of scale that Seat wants by cutting the number of options to lower costs, but then doesn’t know the options?? Find it bizarre how at a range rover dealer there’s a bazzilion specs but they know them all. Sure a different market but the same human brain, shoukd be able to remember options, especially when it’s your career!

When I was discussing options with my dealer I got the feeling I knew more than him about them after doing my research. Even pointed out to him the discount offer on rear diffuser and spoiler package even though it was on a poster in his dealership.

In my experience the things that all (I say all, but certainly BMW, Audi and MB) describe as drawers under the seats are always just cubbys with a bottom hinged cover. Is that what the SEAT ones are like? I’ve never found anything real use for them, though perhaps the Merc had a first aid kit (manufacturer fit) in the passenger one

Are these drawers available on ebay? I've tried searching, but couldn't find anything that I was sure was compatible with Ibiza. Original or compatible, new or second hand, anything would be fine. I'd like to have somewhere to hide the tablet I use for navigation, and the glove box is already almost full (containing the manual, my driving glasses, and other small things).
