it says on there, a difference of 8.2% between rollers, doesn't explain how we got
over 30% difference

Nope.. it does'nt.. too large a gap to be credable.
Re-run will be interesting.

How is the figure now at 255bhp? Did you do another run, or did the manufacturers look at the original plot and find some errors with the way the tuner had interpreted the results?

I don't suppose they will be sending a rep to view the re-run?

I like this new RR technology... you can actually negotiate your results! :roflmao:

Ben

Hehehe - negotiated results.. LOL I like that one. :D

I have raw data which did show 255atw, it was his summary sheet which rounded things down to 212/189..

the explanation was the test window during the test where he set max rpm (or speed, I forget) above my expected limiter which was 7800rpm, so the test was for a wider rpm ranmge than it actually ran. Wrong scaling I guess. all the other calcs went wrong from then on.

He has newer software updates from Mustang now (strange.. ickle Ibiza seems to provoke RR updates, as JBS James did the same after ickle ibiza visit  )

Re-run will be interesting, although they already say 255 will ikely remain the max it records.

We will see how things run @ JBS, but my boost controller is plain whacky at the mo, giving scarey high levels... BANG! is a worry. :-o :hide:

Personally that would be a massive concern to me. I'd have it back to Jabba or whereever like a shot. Can't risk blowing the engine!

But its not like you are after an improvement (Well, you probably are) but you have something that is clearly a fault. As you said before, its either a fault with the boost controller, or the MAP sensor.

Can't see why you need a rolling road to replace the Boost Controler or MAP sensor? And I wouldn't really expect to have to join the back of the queue to fix a small fault.... especially one that could make it go BANG!

Cheers

I know m8...
Its a long way to Jabba for me (3.5 hours each way minimum) so I dont want to go just for this, as there are other jobs outstanding like remapping to suit the current mods. Remember mine has'nt been remapped for over a year now, so FMIC, Aquamist, decat, '20 housing are all winging it on different programming. Its not bad (pretty good in fact) but I know it is'nt right as does Mike so we both want to fix it and bring it up to your spec, being the latest.
Bang is a worry tho, although performance is staggering. Span up in 6th yesterday going to JBS whilst just mildly accelerating.. Boost took off, TCS when NO! and ign cut stepped in 'BANG BANG BANG' WRC stylee :D

Borrowed time me thinks. Low boost seems to be consistently low tho which is normal running for me.

Fair enough. Its 3 hours each way for me too. :(

Saying that though, if I thought there was a serious risk of it going bang then I wouldn't use it.

Hows the gearbox? Any solution in sight?

Cheers

Low boost still is low so its as safe as it can be...
Not planning any track days until box is working properly anyhow.. and I do have plans for it.. Rebuild by someone else.

Latest JBS dyno... with and without aquamist running... Guess which plot is which :D
Figures are atw figures.. not flywheel

ibiza-jbs-071104-small.jpg

System I'm running is the basic 1S system set to 1bar switch and 0.5mm jet size.. Not saying this is optimal as I have'nt played with the sizes or trigger...
Water/methanol mix was approx 60/40 split.

Good to see the Aquamist works. :)

I wont being doing runs on mine with Aquamist on Vs Aquamist off, as its mapped with the Aquamist, so turning it off will probably result in detonation!
