Intercooler options?

Hi guys, I have transplanted a 1.8T into my 1999 GTi. Everything has been soooo much fun getting it in..... too long to even go into... Question is, what options are there for an intercooler? There just isnt much room in the front bumper area, and im very shy of water/air intercoolers... the last setup i had contained a water to air cooler and it just didnt work.. in fact i think it helped fry the engine.

Would a top mount fit somewhere? or is the clearance just too much of an issue.

Also.... I am in australia. The 1999 was the last year model we got. I know there was a facelift in the UK. Would that front bar fit on my 99 model? and would that give me more room for an intercooler?

Really guys??? im not getting much luck here in australia... the seat wasnt released here for very long.. It just seems like there is no where near enough room at the front for an I/C.

i would appreciate some advice.. i know im an aussie and all... but still im an alright bloke...

Hey up matey, I have a mk2 and even over here in the UK they are getting scarce so you don't get much love on the forums.

However if you search facebook for SEAT MK2 Ibiza Owners Club (https://www.facebook.com/groups/350033151703517/?fref=ts) you will find some hardcore owners banded together and I know for a fact there are a couple with 1.8T's on there.

Guessing the Mk3 Forge I/c will fit, will need crash bar replacing/modifying. Getting one in the Southern Hemisphere though will be a problem.
