Hi guys, just wondering if any of you have experimented with the route of the intake hose on the itg maxogen kits(battery under bonnet)?
So far i've seen 2 different routes:
One behind the headlight and the other is linking the hose to the standard intake pipe. The second option means having more bends in the pipe and is going to lose air velocity however, this has the advantage of getting nice cool air from as near as outside the engine bay and if you are moving, creating a ram air kind of effect. Apparently behind the headlight is cool air spot so the engine can suck in the cool air.
The second option has the advantage of fast moving air going into the filter but does it matter if the air isn't being forced in? In which case then behind the headlight would be a good location.
Anyone got any ideas or experimented with a similar setup? Or am I just reading way too much into in ahah! (have got a few pictures to illustrate but dont know if i have enough posts to upload)
Cheers!!
