Hi All,

Quick Q... ITG Intake or EVOMS intake?

I bought the Stage 1.1 package from JKM but unfortunately the EVOMS was out of stock and had to be ordered from USA and because the order was put in early, it would only take a week, which was fine.

I've now been advised that the Supplier in USA hasnt sent the EVOMS yet and going to take 3-4 weeks to come through

JKM have just stated they are able to get me an ITG Intake Kit early next week as an alternative to the EVOMS.

Should of take them up on this offer or wait for the EVOMS to arrive?

I need to get back to JKM by 12 today.

Regards
Lee

well according to Al the fastest tfsi are running evoms
but saying that the itg was produced along side Revo and their map and thats what they run.

so all really depends on how far you going with your car ? if going stage 2 + then go evoms but if only staying stage 1 or 2 go itg simples

Due to funds.. probably only push to Stage 2.

Is there any sound difference between the two intakes? I've seen a vid of the EVOMS from another thread as Al. posted up a link to it on YouTube and it does sound good. Unfortunately i'm at work so not going to hear what the ITG intake sounds like? :(

Revo and ITG together will work really well together...

I think GAIC software needed the EVOM for their remap, but not 100% sure on this.

However they'r all do the same job and they shouldn't be a big difference between the 2...I would most likely choose the ITG myself... :)

Evoms for me.

GIAC Extreme does not need the Evoms by the way - it used the VF 3" intake, but modified to use the larger Evoms cone intake.

GIAC and EVOMS worked together to create an intake incorporating a 3" MAF housing and then utilising the extra volume of air that could be measured in the mapping (was only talking to Andy Jackson at ITG about this yesterday :)).

ITG for me all the way - can't get over how well the car is running since refreshing the filter.

Refreshing the filter, did you clean it or get a new one? I need to do mine this weekend

No they never. They used a VF 3" Intake. The cone from the Evoms is often swapped for the smaller VF cone though.
