I have bought some stuff with them over the past which is good quality and their delivery was quick as well.

Just wondering though why you want this K04-001 so badly??

Doesnt even say what turbo it is although it looks like it might be a k03s. Wont come with any warranty or anything either. Speak to Backdraft or another well known supplier and get one. For the sake of the extra money which will be less than £100 its worth it. Failing that just buy a used one for £200. Ebay is ok for some parts but not others. I wouldnt ever buy a turbo from it thats for sure.

i sent an email to the seller and i was told that they are ko4-001 turbos......yea i think il end up going to backdraft

i have a orginal ko4-001 and it dosent look like that hav a blue plate on it
left one ko4-001 right one standard ko3

i think the one on the left looks ever so slightly bigger could just be closer to the camera tho.

but the k04-001 is the old version of the k03s isnt it.?

so would make sence that is looks the same as the k03.

think the one p34ch3y found looks like that copy or somthing they done dont remember who done it now tho.?

Is it ok to run the K04-001 on Revo Stage 2?

Well my car never smoked before fitting the turbo so i'm pretty sure its the turbo at fault.

Its hard to say sometimes its ok but when its hot it smokes white smoke

White smoke is fine, its getting very cold now and its quite normal for it to smoke abit, even when warm, from my experience. You want to start worrying when you have blue smoke coming out mate.

are you sure mate? it does smoke alot when your sitting idleing its not blue though...

not saying your wrong... but i can't think its right?

Buy new or get this one rebuilt?

no i mean there's sometimes a cloud of smoke coming from the exhaust when you stop at junction... and it never did it with the K03 turbo?

i don`t think it will be any problems since they are almost the same turbo.ko4-001will make 10-bhp maybe revo can tweak the map to suit.andygolf on here hade one fitted with lcr stage 2 or s3 stage 2 i have to shearch the thread to find it

K04-001 isn't a k03"s"...
001 has bigger turbine side
"03s" is been told to have larger compressor side
001 has also a stiffer wg actuator

to change from 03s to 001 is not the best value for money, but it is a good upgrade from the stock 03 of the cupras...

mine used to smoke on idle, was the turbo that was buggered
