Speak to Sam, He fitted it, with some cutting involved, Clearly getting some good results with this pretty much 'budget' core, so you cant ignore it in terms of costs vs the Forge £700+ kits!

as chrissy said, it a budget setup but with great results, cant say it better than forge big race kit as i have not tested that kit out, but i promise it will be just as good and could prove to be a better setup imho. was much much better than my apexi setup and that was not a cheap kit. at 5 degree rise in temp at stage 2 thats as good as it gets :)

Can I just confirm that this is all that is needed to fot the IC?
I can't belive that this is all going to come to aroung £200!!! Plus then you factor in the feed back. :funk:
Is this the same one Prawn is using?
Sam have you got any photos of the cutting requiered? Also is there room for an oil cooler to fit on top of the IC?
Thanks for the info

I have fitted the large toyosport cooler to my car (not on at moment as pipes need to be beaded)

Didn't realise they did a version with 63mm outlets, I bought the 76mm version - never mnd!

As a result I have used 76mm pipework all the way to the TB (Will be running a SEM with 75mm R32 TB), and 76mm pipework reducing to the standard 60/63mm to the charge pipe.

I had to cut the cross supports on the front panel, and also a very small amount from the bumper bar (less than an inch each side) for it to fit.

Here are some pics, meant to have updated my readers ride thread with these, but been too busy:

The top pipe to the SEM will have two bosses welded onto it, one for the MAP sensor and the other for the WMI nozzle

 Thanks a lot for the pics! It looks very impressive. Where did you get the hard pipes from?
Was it a hard job to fit? How long did it take? Will you be keeping you fog linghts? Oh and have you got an oil cooler fitted or where are you planning on fitting one?
Sorry for all the questions.

Cheers mate :D

The hard pipes were off eBay, from the user mrsilicone

The pipework is easy to do, i did have proper garage facilities though, including a big table mounted cutter, which helped a lot!

In term of time I did it over 2 days, mainly because I decided to work slowly, and the top brackets took me a while due to the metal being very thick

Don't think the standard foglights will fit, the pipework is too large. Maybe the smaller aftermarket ones like Sam has will, need to look into that.

Should point out that the bumper will have to be cut extensively at the part where the lower left and right grilles are, but it should all look fine once done....

As for an oil cooler, I got this off eBay:

16 row - not 10 row like the one on Demon Tweeks

And you also need all this too:

Think it cost around £150ish.

There should be enough space to mount it above the FMIC, similar to what Philc has done with his car. Will have a crack at that this weekend hopefully.

I'm thinking of sticking an oil cooler in the same place :D

Any chance you can take plenty of pics and knock up an idiots guide? I've really not got a clue when it comes to installing an oil cooler.

The guild would be a great idea. You couldn't also put a link to eBay for the parts you bought could you pretty please?

Will definately do a guide for the cooler. Just will take a bit of time as I will be making brackets to mount the oil cooler onto the front panel above the FMIC first. Then as I am building up my new engine I will fit the sandwich plate onto the engine.

And finally I will swap my old engine for new and join it all together:D

So just bare with me, may take a few weeks!

The parts I got off eBay for the oil cooler was:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400289766274

And for the sandwich plate and fittings:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150765384857?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Costs £20 more for the 80 degree thermostat

Thanks for the links. Will be looking forward to the photos. It excites me that there is a well proven FMIC for sub £200. However it doesn't sound like an easy job to fit. I think my keep it standard stances has been blow out of the warter!

Chrissy the cooler i have and the one in the link has 63mm inlets :) so no reducers needed. They do two coolers at 600x300x76 1 has 76mm inlets the other has 63mm inlets (like mine)
The crash bar or cross beams will need cutting to fit this monster but its 100% worth it.

Sam, what about the bumper? Could that cooler be fitted without cutting the bumper at all?

If your fitting the toyo sports big IC you deffo need to cut the crash bar,or like sam said mod the cross bars at the back,
it wont fit behind the crashbar as its too high aswell.

Worth messing about for though.
