LCR wishbone bush sizes?

im going to upgrade my bushes on my LCR to hopefully reduce the good old torque steer and my front inner tyres being eaten up!!! now this is my every day car so cant have it off the road for long so thinking of refurbing a set of old ones and off and on game hopefully are there many variants of LCR wishbones? will others do from the Vag range as found seat like to put a lot more £££sss for the same stuff

seems to be a few sizes for the lcr and also cast and pressed

LCR wishbones are not like all the other Golf Mk4 platform cars.

The LCR wishbones are like the one's that come on the TT's and Skoda Octavia VRS.

LCR wisbones are 'cast' - i.e. stronger and better (so I have been told)

My car came with one pressed wishbone and one cast which i didn't think was a problem till i noticed the tyre rubbing on the arch liner on full lock on the passengers side (side with the pressed wishbone). I then noticed on closer inspection the wheel didn't sit central in the arch, so i made some measurements and discovered the passengers side wheel was nearly 20mm closer to the rear of the arch. Naturally my first thoughts where WTF then, bent sub frame or bent chassis. I decided to change the pressed unit to a cast unit in the hope this would sort the problem.

Here's what they look like one on top of the other with the bolt holes linned up

You can see why there was a 20mm difference. The worrying thing is every parts place i spoke to tried to sell me the pressed units and said the cast one where for the TT only.

If you have pressed steel wishbones i would be very interested to hear whether you tyres rub on the arch liner.

I did what you are planning but upgraded to polybushes at the same time. LCR are definitely cast and there are a pair on ebay for sale now ready for new bushes.
