no they don't 2. I had 2 remotes on my Golf, my mum has 2 remotes on her polo. both bought brand new, no master one.

Nooooooooo!! Does this mean you'll take the Ibiza gallery down now?
LOL no - well, not as long as the Google ads cover my hosting fees :)

I'll still keep it running. I'm not leaving SCN as it's the best place for any VAG-related techy info  (and passatworld.com just isn't the same :D )

Do the new passats have the "fully" adjustable wipers? the old ones you used to be able to flick a switch, do the wiper manualy and it stored how long you took and copied you...
This one's got the rain sensor, just like my Ibiza - so automatically adjusts the delay according to how heavy the rain or spray is. You can adjust the sensitivity to your liking too.

Aero wipers too :funk:

Hmm... how long before you get it remapped... I say you'd like to get it done after a couple of days once you realise how much that extra weight has dented the pull of that lovely PD130 lump, but with the house build, etc it'll be quite a while until you actually get round to putting your hand in your pocket and getting it done.
I suspect you're spot on there :(

Sorry to read your leaving the fold Muddy, you never did get to 700miles / tank ! ;)

Passat is a nice car though, large but nice!

Looking at a new Leon / Golf myself, don't need a boot the size of an aircraft hanger! Glad you're sticking around!

If I had another couple of weeks I'd give it a try, doubt I'd manage it in these temps though...might be worth having a few days of eco run anyway, to lessen the impact of the Passat's extra weight & reduced power :(

Blimey - that reminds me of the 'old mk4 ibiza days' when it was Lee, Si, Andy, myself, and a few other TDI owners (like sssssstew, Paulo etc) trying to get the most miles from a tank. My record was 650 I think before I bottled out!

Just think, the dented dashboard will be no more! ;)

I'm not anymore mate, picked up my new car on Saturday...

Audi A2 TDI Sport. Got loads of kit (not as much as your Passat!), nice seats, 17" wheels and handles amazingly given what you would expect from such a car. The engine's quite potent too, but does need a remap - then it'll have a bit more power to weight than Cordy did :) Pic below:

Oooooh get you joining the Audi brigade :)

Is it new ? Nice wheels...

PS Think you missed Tom from the "old school" list...ahh the memories. Especially you at the Stealth RR day with your periscope and miles of ally ducting :funk:

Majority of the courtesy cars at Audi where I work were A2's when still in production and I used to love driving them. One of the salesmen got done at 110mph in the TDI. Its a strange car to get used to, but I found it more comfortable doing 80 on the motorway than 70! Great little car, and very under rated methinks. Are you doing the Ring in it?

Agreed.. The space inside is great, removable rear seats, large boot; before starting to look at them I'd never really paid much attention, but part of me said 'go take a look'.. and I did :p

Am I doing the 'ring in it...? ;)

Would love to see an A2 at the Ring! One thing I would say about the A2's is watch the gear knob, if it has the silver ring around the top as if you wear rings it makes it really sharp and can cut your hand open as I have found out on a few customer cars

Lee, i would dearly love to buy your Beeza.

having nursed a pet hate for small cars since my XR2 17 years ago, i don't feel the Ibiza as a "small" car.

spec of yours nearly matches my pug (even in it's executive form), but
#1- like you, all our money is being saved for a new house
#2- don't think i could cope with 2 mk4 eclipse 3-door ibiza's parked on the same driveway:lol:

i will be so jealous of whoever ends up with yours (even if it's windscreen deep in sh1te)

did you get my e-mail with new pics of Vick's SX for your site???

i hope you keep the site running :)
