Well, the deed is done - have just bought a Passat Estate which I pick up on Saturday.

Which means the Ibiza will be up for sale soon :(

Won't be leaving SCN though !

Anyway, look at the list of toys I'll have to play with:

Xenon headlights
Headlamp washers
Rain sensing wipers
Auto dimming mirror
Cruise control
(OK, I have all the above on the Ibiza too :p )
Leather/alcantara interior
Heated seats
Parking sensors
Nokia handsfree kit
Multi-functon steering wheel
Curtain airbags
Walnut dash inserts (yuk, where's the pipe'n'slippers smiley when you need it)
Factory fitted graphic equaliser

Plus the usual Sport bits (16" alloys, ESP, Sports seats, lower/firmer suspension, in-dash 6CD changer etc) and it's a familiar PD130 TDI with 6-speed box.

Done 90k miles with full VWSH every 10k miles including cambelt at 60k.

And it's got three remote keyfobs for some reason

How long before I resist temptation and get it remapped....place your bets now !

Does the steering wheel let you fly planes and stuff or turn into something else? Bet you the walnut looks like plastic though and you too can be a chav with the fancy lights on your centre console. ;)

Hmm... how long before you get it remapped... I say you'd like to get it done after a couple of days once you realise how much that extra weight has dented the pull of that lovely PD130 lump, but with the house build, etc it'll be quite a while until you actually get round to putting your hand in your pocket and getting it done.

Do the new passats have the "fully" adjustable wipers? the old ones you used to be able to flick a switch, do the wiper manualy and it stored how long you took and copied you...

Or have the "auto" wipers taken over?

That is a BIG list of toys! Have fun

Sounds like it may have been a pool car.

Think VW's do come with 2 remotes standard.

lot of car for not much cost, and only just run in!
