Leon 1.5 FR help

My son picked up his new FR yesterday and is adamant that the heating controls/temp adjustment under the touch screen was illuminated when he collected it however when we were in it last night in the dark it wasn’t? He think he’s maybe altered something in the settings when going through all the menus, can anyone help, can they actually be illuminated or was he imagining things?

When he disabled the Lane Assist a warning shows on the display, can this be removed?

I believe they're never illuminated- something to do with the IR sensors maybe? Not sure about the lane assist side of things I'm afraid.

Have a look here at around 1:52 - they don't appear to be lit.
