Anybody know how long it takes for the safe mode to change on the leon radio
I have managed to put mine in safe mode had it switched on for over an hour and its still in safe mode. Dealer wants £40 to recode it when its out of safe mode. If any body has got one spare with a code I will gladly purchase. It must be cd compatible though and I would be looking for the original factory supply unit.

glynnd, have you looked through the mk1 section? Quite a few threads on the radio issue, and have a look through the for sale as saw some in there yesterday when browsing around.

I would hae thought a dealer could supply a code for free if you gave them the serial number, get it and call another dealership - some are more helpful than others by a long long way.

Managed to get sorted out in the end. it took two hours with it switched on and £14 for the code from my local dealer!
