I have a 2011 plate Leon FR, with the RCD310 headunit it in, with the external ports for both Aux and USB in the storage part behind the gear knob.
I have tried several USB sticks in the port (or varying types) and I cannot get it to register anything on the headunit.
For info, I have tried:
USB 3.0 32gb sandisk extreme - FAT32
USB 2.0 20gb USB stick- FAT32
USB 2.0 16gb USB stick- FAT32
I tried ringing a dealer to find out exactly what the specs of the USB drive need to be for it to work, but all they could suggest was "seems like smaller capacity, and fat32 might work"... which frankly wasnt very helpful!
Does anyone know for definite what criteria has to be met for the USB stick to work, and / or got any troubleshooting tips to help work out what might be wrong?
Frankly I am tearing my hair out listening to the radio every day!
