ive just bought a 2004 fr 150 pd that's been remapped and im after upgrading intercooler any one got ay ideas of best one to fit cheers

The standard intercooler is good enough for the power the standard car has, even with a remap. If you're insistent on changing it then the Audi S3 alloy intercooler is the recommended upgrade.

Darkside sell it and it fits in directly in place of the original but does need silicone hoses as the alloy cooler has smooth end pipes instead of the clip-on type ones.

Definitely upgrade it! The pipe/connector bit on the side of the intercooler can crack after they've been remapped. I had this happen twice on my mk4 Golf TDI until I got the uprated one from Darkside. If it's the same intercooler as the Golf, I guess it is.

Is the S3 intercooler from the BAM engine.

I was also looking to upgrade the intercooler and not sure which one to go for.
