leon tdi 150 remap/egr

hi guys,i have a 2005 leon tdi 150 , ARL eng code. am looking to get car remapped , and have the egr valve deleted at the same time , just wonderd if any one out there has had this done on a 05 plate car, have spoke to a few tuners and some say egr carnt be deleted on this year car , but another says it can be done..
apparently on earlier cars the pipe to the egr can just be dissconected & plugged up.
if i do this on my car i get eml light on dash , connect it back up & it will go out after a while..

it can be done but it is a custom remap around £300, i left mine on/cleaned it out and just had a generic remap from Awesome gti for £150

there probably talking about the 110bhp leon and under as you do not need to remap the Egr out, the 150 you do and i think the 130 you have to do this as well.

Pd engines need to have dash light mapped out as there is a sensor unlike the 110 the egr can be deleted with no dash lights

just makes you wonder if the egr is needed due to having a sensor

Turn the egr valve down on vagcom.....iv read it preety much closes it fully but allows a little bit through.

I have blocked egr on mine and turned it down with vagcom.
thats on ARL which was latter mapped.
no fault codes or eml lights

How did you manage this, can you explain better??
Only reason I ask......I fitted an Allard delete pipe and left the two small pipes disconnected, after about 10miles I had the EML light come on. I spoke to my remapper who informed me that the light could not be mapped out on my car - FR TDI 55reg - so I put it back to normal after a clean

i have just made a plate to block off the egr and used vagcom to turn it down as low as it let me. there os a guide here somewhere.
to be honest can remember how it was done
