Loss of boost!

I'm having an intermitent loss of boost problem at low revs, basically it feels like lots of lag and if you floor it then its ok. If you just give it half throttle its very jumpy, it feels like the boost is all over the place, you can hear it changing as well. I've replaced the N75 and the MAF is ok. Any ideas??

do you know if the N75 you fitted was 'known to be good'?

I bought it from SEAT dealership so I would presume so. I have the old one so I guess I could try it? VAG-COM isn't showing any faults either.
