Hi to all.

I have problem with low vacuum on my Leon 1.8T AUQ engine 132kw, there is only 2.9 psi of vacuum on 750RPM, but pressur eof turbo seems to be ok it is around 10.15 psi. Can anyone tell me why is vacuum so low.

Vacuum is the same and when i drive a car and lift my leg of trotlle. I see some 1.8T engines and vacuum is around 5.5 - 6 psi.

Low vacuum = air leak. Normal vacuum at idle should be in the -0.8 bar range.

Possible places where air leaks:

- thin hose from manifold to top of DV;
- thin hoses below manifold to N249;
- crankcase breather to PCV valve;
- hose from PCV valve to top of cam cover;
- Y-shaped hose at cam cover (OEM model splits easily);

Other hoses where air can leak (for example the S-shaped hose behind the right front wheel, which links the metal charge pipe with intercooler pipe) are before the intercooler and the leak is usually detected at high boost, by low boost indication on the gauge and hissing, so it's not the case.
