Lowering within warranty

I ordered my Ehybrid solely seen on photos in november last year. Upon delivery i noticed the huge gaps in the wheel arches.
Never altered a lot to my cars seen they are registred in my company and on a long term rental lease with the Belgian importers lease branch.

But how much i like the car and the looks the gaps annoy me every day more and more, everybodys response is "nice car but is it supposed to run so high"

Is there a way to lower a car and keep factory warranty, legaly i can get it MOT'd again in Belgium and be completely road legal with it.

The configurator:

Hi - sorry to hear about this. Yes, the configurator is misleading.

We were surprised at how big the gaps were when we drove the eHybrid for the first time - they sorted it for the petrol thankfully (which I appreciate doesn't help you).

Whilst I'm sure the small print on the configurator probably says that the cars may differ from the pictures, in reality, I think it's not very fair of CUPRA to show them so low. I'd have been miffed too.

It will be more a question for your leasing company I think if they are happy with you making the modification as long as you return it to stock afterwards.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers,

Scott

As far as the leasing company goes they never get my cars back, i pay a high first rent to keep the rent and remaining value low and seen i detail as a hobby i sell my cars for double the lease companies value after 4 years. Main concern is the warranty and if it is even possible to lower it with aftermarktet parts with the dynamic chassis electronics.

And yes, i would have rather bought the petrol but sometimes you need to think with your wallet:

Petrol registration tax: 1600€
PHEV registration tax: 50€

Petrol yearly tax: 600€
PHEV yearly tax: 113€

Petrol: costs valid for company costs: 50%
PHEV: costs valid for company costs: 100%

Petrol: profit personal use added to taxes: 20%
PHEV: profit personal use added to taxes: 0%

I got a price quote for a 150hp petrol Skoda Karoq for the wife for 29K Euro and let my accountant compare it to a 55K VW Tiguan PHEV and on a 5 year calculation the VW was 6k cheaper.

Really the eHybrid and Petrol suspension should be the same.

A question for CUPRA/SEAT then, usually the position is any elements directly related to parts you have replaced won't be covered. For example, if the engine failed whilst you have lowered suspension then you should still be covered. However, if a shock failed and caused damage to the car elsewhere then you wouldn't.

Seriously?

The small print on the UK configurator states "Images are for illustrative purposes only. Please note some images may not reflect UK specification"
To me, that means "this is what the car looks like in major detail, but item like trim, wheel design and options fitted may vary" I wouldn't expect the low slung speed machine shown in the picture to in reality look like it's on stilts.....that's like me having a Tinder profile picture of Vin Diesel when I actually look more like Homer Simpson🤣

No cooperation from the dealer anyhow, there are no lowering options, the petrol has a different suspension according to them and fitting aftermarket lowering will void warranty on suspension, chassis, wheels, steering and transmission.

So thank you for my Leon SUV ;-)

We reached out to CUPRA for an official comment about this. As below.

"The images on the configuration are visual representations only, the customer should always view a vehicle in person to ascertain the exact visual of a vehicle."

I saw a very short video on youtube from JE Design and they had lowered the ehybrid and put 20" wheels on it
