Thought id start one of these as this will hopefully be a little ongoin project . .
So i bought the car about 3 weeks ago completely standard,
It had no splitter, no parcel shelf, low brake pads, needed a new headlight as it was pushed in and had broke to the 2 top clips, and has key marks on sides and roof by some little
. . but i felt i good a got deal and with full service history and 56,000 miles it was a nice project as i want it sprayed in a few months anyway
Anyway i got straight on to it and ordered a parcel shelf, new headlight, put some ferodo pads in it and changed the oil and filter and put a new splitter on, i also took the leon badge off the boot and the 2 side ones saying cupra, i left the little cupra r on the boot tho . .
I then had a couple of days off last week so decided to have a go at polishing my charge pipe and inlet after reading how a few of you have done it, what a complete pain in the arse but its definatly worth it when its finished, I also drilled my airbox and started smoothing it and put on a Forge 007p dump valve and reversed it.
i did cheat a bit, as i didnt take the inlet off where i couldnt reach with the sander and polisher i bought some high temp black paint and painted with a little artist brush after i masked it up, i also did the throttle body and it all looks a lot better than i thought it would so im happy
I then decided my lights where naff so ordred some 6000k H.I.D's which im yet to put in as i need to change the headlight and get that dam bumper off
. . i have got them ran through the back casing and siliconed the grommet in ready just to put in now.
Thats about it at the moment as im chock a block with work and things but have loads i want to get done in next few months.
