Hi my sisters Ibiza 130 PD has a missing feel around the 2k rev mark. The cambelt was changed before we bought the car and was not correctly timed so I adjusted it so it was reading 0.00-0.06 on the measuring blocks 4. This helped but there is still some missing/judder when running the car along around the tick over revs, 2k ish. If u press the accelerator it clears. The car pulls off smoothly from first. Car has 75k and is a 56 plate. Thanks

You got any news on this one ?
Mines doing it as well
Ive read about faulty injectors looms which im going to try today which does give these symptoms
Next thing i will try will be crankshaft sensor and the timing.
Its really annoying i just want to get it sorted !

Apparently it's a gasket on the egr valve. 028 131 547 B put that part number into google and it comes up with it being a superseded part. There's a few posts on this site that show the problem with that being the part to use to stop the stuttering. I'm getting one from my local VW garage.

if its a BLT engine code then yes, the EGR system allows to much in at around 2k giving a feeling of misfiring.
Fit the gasket in the pipe between Manifold and EGR cooler( the joint is above gearbox towards rear of head) as much easier to fit there

Already got the BLT gasket in ...
Its not so much hesitation
Its more on idle as if its missing
Really annoying me
I have read some where could be the timing slightly out that produces lumpy idle

Any other suggestions else im scrapping the car ??
:lol::whistle:

All help appriciated

Yeah check sync angle through vcds. Measuring block 4. Also it maybe wiring loom in head of engine or even coolant sensor. Known problems with pd diesels.

Ive changed injector loom
Hasnt cured it
Ive been told it could be the spray pattern on one injector as it seems to be slighty missing.

Do you still think this could be to do with timing ?
As i havent yet checked that ...
I have also got coolant sensor to change When i get round to it ...

Any advise is welcome

Yeah ive got the free version and lead

Is it something i can check with the free version ?
If so could somebody help me and explain please

Thanks

Start engine and get Upto operating temp, 90c on the temp sensor. U then turn on laptop and connect to port on car. Select engine. Then it loads part numbers etc on the screen. U then look to the left and click measuring block if memory serves. It will open another box that has three clear sections. On the top one use the up button to go to 4. The right side section then shows ur sync angle reading. Ur looking for 0.00!

Checked the sync angle and it came out at 1.0 !!!

Presume this is no good and needs changing ....
Also my injected quantaties are all over the place on idle
Could this be the spray pattern starting to go ?

Many Thanks

Yeah adjust the timing mate. Remember only small movements on the centre bolt (18mm)!!
Not sure about the spray pattern but I'd first sort the timing. It doesn't sound too bad. My sisters was -2.8!
Also check the coolant temp sensor. They can kick up issues aswell. My sisters got a black one which I believe has been superseded by the dual green sensor as there more reliable.
