mk1 Diesel Tuning Chip/box? Anyone used one?

Was looking at this chip on ebay

Anyone used a tuning chip before? any probs, etc?

mines a 1998 1.9 tdi 90bhp

Just a glorified evry mod, google it, a lot cheaper and does the same thing

might not be able to remap the engine in yours (from memory of driveforward), you might need to do a chip replacement, something to look into.

If it's an ahu though it's really easy because the chips just plug in, I can't remember the exact ones but I know there's two of them. If I had the same ecu I could've had a tune for free to go with my nozzles and also to work a vnt 15.

well just checked a local remapping company http://www.eliteremaps-ni.com/detay.asp?ProdID=1723 looks like car can be remapped no probs. so fingers crossed remapping and coilovers by xmas

It can deffinitely be mapped but you will need the chips changed, they can all be mapped though, mine is a soldering job
