Mk1 fr 150 oil light

Just done a service on my mk1 pd 150 and noticed that the oil light comes on with ignition but then goes out after a few seconds along with the airbag light etc. Surely that can't be right and should go off when started (if there's enough oil pressure that is lol)

Must be normal then! I'm used to the older cars where the light comes on with ignition and then goes out when there's adequate oil pressure.

These lights come on and stay on for a few seconds 1 to show you they are checking status and 2 to show you the bulb/led is working correctly.

I think the buzzer would go off if there were anything bad - like how it does when you've forgotten to reconnect the brake master cylinder wire...
