hey,

I like the idea of getting a mufflerectomy. Trouble is until yesterday the most advanced thing id ever done to a car was take a wheel off.

Now, im not planning to do the work myself. That would be stupid :(

I just want to know what the correct components I need are without spending my entire life reading forum [B)] to find answers.

I got a DPF Altea with the PD170 engine. Has twin tailpipe but all exhaust system currently standard.

any help is massively appreciated thx

ok that's good thx.

assuming I know nothing about the exhaust system on a car, the DPF and the cat are both elsewhere in the system so this mod wont affect them correct?

car legislation

bit about exhausts says:

"You will be breaking the law if you remove a silencer or make any modification that would make that vehicle emit a noise louder than the original exhaust before it was modified."

When I read this I heard "I bought it with the muffler removed officer" :p

it came in this year. A missing dpf or cat is mot failure now. however its only a visual check.

either have a nice mot guy, or fit a fake cat/dpf.
