Mulitchanger fitting to 05 Leon FR

Git a 6 cd unit with cable attached - anyone know if its just plugs into the back of standard unit to play or do I need another cable.

Assuming it's a standard Seat changer, if the connector on the end of the cable is yellow it plugs into the back of the HU. If it's black it plugs into another cable from the HU

Cheers Iceman - it has a black connector, so any ideas what cable I have to buy to get it connected to my standard headunit.

Its probably already in the car behind the glovebox mate.

I have an 05 FR and am also fitting a changer, but the cable is not behind the glovebox, it has not been installed, much like all the 04-05 LCR's

Have you got the cable to connect the HU with the changer for your 05? If so what cable is is and how much?

I have ordered it today, I will be collecting tommorrow, I will post the price for it but the part number is 1M2971735 that goes from the glove box to the back of the Head Unit

ok part no. 1m2971735 £18.39 plus vat at 17.5% £3.22 = £21.61

This is dealer discretion, Listers SEAT in Coventry have posted some stuff to me before, however, not all dealers will, if they do, they normally charge a little extra.

Earthing Point?

Hi, I am also trying to fit a 6 CD changer in the glove box of my Leon FR (05), does anyone know where the earthing point should be?

HI Chris telephoned seat dealer today they told me that you can only get the lead when you buy cd changer its not sold seperate. Went on forum to find more information and found you gave the part number. I called at seat dealer on way home gave him part number and they actually had one in stock he asked me what it was for told him and he said he told somebody 2 weeks ago you could not buy them seperate. He told me he would spread the word in the parts department. Long live the forum thanks mate.
