Thought I'd pop up a post about my SEAT.

I bring you a 2007 Alhambra TDI. Picked it up, got about 15 miles before it started overheating. D'oh. Turns out it was a blooming head gasket no less. Nightmare.

Anyway, got it home, got that fixed along with a new timing belt, full service and took a picture...

Lets see how I like it after an immediate £800 bill.

Turns out, I like it a lot. It gives me the space I was wanting, but more importantly, the kids love it. They are that bit higher, and with bigger windows than the greenhouse, they get to see loads.

Anyway, it was missing a few bits and pieces. First up was the speed. So a quick remap helped out with that. Hopefully get a couple mpg's too, since it's the sensible wagon. But that wasn't really why.

Next up, needed some bluetooth, since I do 20k+ per year. Also, a USB drive would be nice. So found a cheap double din Alpine on Amazon, and fitted that.

That'll work. Then, since I hate getting covered in water whenever the window is open, some wind deflectors.

And a set of wheels.

Could do with a drop, but since it's a kid moving machine, it's far from the top of the list. If I need to change out the suspension due to wear, then it'll get dropped then. Otherwise, it'll stay as is.

The only other things to do are cruise control and get my plate on it. That should be it done.

As a little bit of evidence of how much I like it, since buying it, my 2013 BMW 530d hasn't had much use. Whenever I go anywhere, it's in the SEAT usually. The only exception is when I had to go into the office last week, and the wife needed the SEAT for kid duties. But that's just about all the miles it's done since buying the SEAT. And as a result, the BMW has been in the drive while the Alhambra has been in the garage. Didn't see that coming.

So, gave her a quick wash today, some tyre shine, and some back to black. First halfway decent pics (well, still phone pics) of it since the colour change on the wheels.

I still realise that many of you out there will still hate such a vehicle, and that's fine. I like it enough that it replaced my 530d as the daily driver, allowing me to get something a bit fruitier by way of the Edition 30. So I would say that is high enough praise, that it replaced my, owned from new, 2013 BMW 530d...

Cheers.

Yes, it would look better with a drop for sure. Like about 6" drop, lol. But then that would take away some of it's positives, such as clearance, and the kids seeing so much out the windows.

However, when the time comes to replace the springs, I'll put on a drop then. Whether that'll be coilovers or just springs, I'm not sure yet, but something will happen at that point. But not before.

However, just for fun, and to be more like the Leons on here, here is a pic of one of my other cars:

It's a VW Golf Edition 30. Has H&R springs, Miltek cat-back, APR Carbonio Intake, S3 front brakes (345mm), xenons, nav etc... Just got an S3 intercooler for it today, decat will be done early next year, along with HPFP internals, RS4 FPR and am R-Tech remap. Hoping for a good 340+ BHP out of that.

And, finally. My 4.0 V8 P38 Range Rover...
