yes, im running 290Nm torqe currently, think the limit set by ecu is 300Nm(whatever that is in lb/ft). Aprs car is running 255-260 i believe but they havnt got rid of the limit, they have found their way around it and from what I have found out the dsg is capable of over 350Nm but should be kept under 340 for it to be reliable........cutch packs will help though which are being developed now and are looking to come into the market around mid-late this year giving the gearbox more headroom so to speak.

Torque can be maintained and manipulated through a decent map so its possible to get to the planned 255-265 mark whilst keeping the torque just over the 300 limit.
Like i said i will be using standard revo stage 2 software to start with so the new setup and gear box will not be pushed really, it should be more reliable than a standard stage 2 car and much within its comfort zone.

I plan on only getting the dsg limit deleted in sport mode so I can still have fun within the vw stated torqe limits in manual or using D

Should do if done properly. Nice plans, glad you've not lost sight of what you set out for. 240-260bhp if its consistent and tractable will be immense, never mind on just a 1/4mile run.
You should be fine running 20-21psi without misfire issues.

Looking forward to seeing this little animal at some point!

Hopfully on a certain trackday coming up. Dont know yet how likely that is. I should have had my seats done in red leather by now but due to the engine probs, they will have to wait since I have exhausted my upholstery funds. Interior is done now apart from them, standard fr seats are cloth and poo.

At 235 i started to get dsg short shifting so you might be on the limit, that said it was with a 3" decat which does release alot of torque, not heard of anyone with stage 2 +intake+intercooler having this problem more than likely becasuse they use a milltek sports cat 2.7inch.

if i go for a miltek it will only be catback, but if i go custom it will be full system with decat.

intake
cooler

and thats me done power wise.

Not convinced on that cars 270bhp, doesnt seem much(if any) faster than stage 1. It was about 6s to sixty from a quick look. Does Look pretty cool though.

hey your on here too mate are you? The scratches were fine btw so chees for the nice honest purchase.
Im assuming this will be done by tsr. Im actually looking into getting 8eix ones which are also slightly colder again but willl stick to the normal ones until I can see whats happening with the new piston capacity, should help with the heat

Yeah mate. I am everywhere, anything about the 1.4 TSI engines, I am there :)

Your welcome for the pistons. I couldn't do anything about the pistons. I am glad you make good use out of them.

I wouldn't go too cold with the spark plugs. When the engine is cold the engine will be bit jerky at low temps. But that's in general. But it may turn out just fine even better for our engines.

booked in today for a dyno session amd, to make sure figures are accurate(although alway seem to have been despite what people have said) i will get 2 runs done

standard 150bhp with my additional mods
stage 2 on setting b with said mods

I will ask them to lay it on top of the eisting dyno charts

i will be able to see:

1. Standard dyno at 150bhp, no mods
2. Stage 1 with no mods
3. Stage 1 map with twintercooler and itg induction kit
4. Stage 2 map with twintercooler and itg induction kit + custom 3" turbo back

I will then post build bring it back with exactly the same mods + the pace radiator(wont give any bhp) and do a run, then fit the loba and do another run

Went to amd today for a dyno. They also tried reading from the dsg unit to see if they could up the torque limit. They couldnt read it. Had revo update too.
On my way home I drove in d like usual using kicodown and it felt a little quicker. Put into manual tried dropping a gear and it was very slow changing, put my foot to the floor to use the kickdown in manual and it changed to 1st at 70mph and the gear started flashing. Limp mode until restart. Any gear selected in manual dosent change on its own and just bounces of the redline at 7.5k. Same in s mode. Put back in d and all is ok, Sharp gear changes and full power.

Help.

the smoking exhaust

Just thought I would post a vid of what to look for when your turbo is burning oil. This was take a couple of weeks ago

Holy **** the rear end looks like a diesel! Is that all carbon deposit and oil flicks??

Mine gets a bit of oil spotting/flicking up the rear but my consumption is pretty bad! Waiting another couple of months to take it in for a consumption test though

Yeah its all oily to the touch with carbon bits in it. Think its because I'm burning a little oil through the engine but most of it is coming from the turbo on the exhausts side. So you have actual oil in the exhaust. Any that dosent get burnt ends up like droplets of oil on the back with a load of carbon. That vie was after 2 230 mile trips
