my leon hella lights debadge etc

Ive been meaning to make this thread for a while just to update it with what I've been doing with the motor.

its a 07 2.0 tdi 140 reference sport. I got the car april this year and only the accelerator has gone wrong so far twice!

Mods:

Exterior : full aero kit, 18" bbs seat alloys, bee sting aerial, red painted calipers, hella ice grey rear lights, cupra grille, debadged (L E O N) and tdi

Interior: Armrest, chrome sills all round

Engine: Standard

I.C.E: Standard headunit with amplifier (Professional install so I don't know details), Rainbow tweeters on dash, rainbow mids and components in front doors, hertz ep4 amp, 10" pioneer shallow sub (only about 2" thick!)

Future mods: green panel air filter, remap, straight through exhaust (maybe), 19" golf gti replica rims (if i can find any!), blue mercedes style window tints (not dark just very light blue), lowered, lambo doors (depending on price), lower number plates when i get the private reg back on it.

Here are a few pics, i will take some of the stereo and from the front later this week. Let me know your opinions please!

Tweeter placed on the dash because it would have been too in ya face where originals are

got them off a lad on here his username is spuggy or spugg333 (i think) top bloke took the car to him and he fitted them they were abit expensive £180 but i thought it was worth it. Plus they are imported from germany so not many people have them ive never seen another set on the road!

yeah mate £180 fitted prices might have changed though. Its basically a standard leon light made by the same company that does the OEM ones. They are supposed to be the dark ones, the light ones are extremely white. Would only look decent on a candy white leon. they are the only two you can get.

lol im getting a red k1 and i dont really like the way the lights dont show up on the rear of the red leons, so dark lights would be a nice touch £180 quid i will definately consider it now.

Trust me they don't look good on a red leon, even the darkest set. I have found that out first hand!!!

They looked too light and chavvy, even though these were the darkest set. They looked great on Igor23's Grey Leon and look good on the black Leon

They looked great at dusk when it started to get dark but all other times they were just too light. A jet black version would be superb however

I know i would have got darker if i could. Seen some on the german ebay that were chrome!!

No matter how much those lights are talked up, they are always gonna be classed as Lexus Lights.

That said, as mentioned above, they are of good quality and do suit some colours more than others.

Not to my taste, but hey ho. As long as you are happy

hi their nice car.i have a silver one i have just got it and i have been lookin at those hella lights today on ebay,you can get them in black or the ice grey colour?is the ice grey yours then? do you yhink the lighter ones would look best on my silver car or the dark ones.i want them to blend with the car and you cant tell from ebay how dark or light they are.theirs a guy on you tube and hes got my car and i think he has the light ones its alot of money to spend if they look crap.

The ones on my car and the first car are the DARKEST you can get. The so called black one's are clearly quite light, hence why I took them off and sold them
ice grey = black. There is a huge thread on this when I was looking about 18 months ago!
